VA Wesleyan Drone Footage + Rendering

I had the opportunity while w/ DMWPV to oversee the structural design of the Greer Environmental Sciences Center at VA Wesleyan University in Virginia Beach. 

This building includes some really interesting and creative design features, including a butterfly roof, a second floor that cantilevers up to 20-feet, and a two-story event space wrapped in glass with polished concrete floors.  The framing consists of composite concrete slabs on structural steel with braced frames for stability.

The general contractor, Hourigan Construction, took some really cool drone footage of the structure during construction.  The architect, VMDO, also made an amazing walk-through rendering video.  Both videos are below.  Enjoy!
